Solid Wood Design Desk

The Couscous collection desk invites you to settle in with ease, whether at home every day or on the go from your hotel room. Its rounded lines give it a warm style while highlighting the profiling of the legs and the top, joined by superb cabinetmaking assembly. The optional cable management system and shelf allow you to set up your equipment according to your needs while maintaining the aesthetics of the furniture.

In line with the Couscous table, winner of the FRENCH DESIGN INCUBATOR 2022, the Couscous desk was designed by designer Bina BAITEL and entirely manufactured in our Hugo Delavelle cabinetmaking workshop in Burgundy Franche-Comté.

Description of the Couscous oak desk:

  • 2 choices of top dimensions: 110 x 52 or 145 x 65 cm
  • Height: 75 cm
  • Solid oak top thickness: 30 mm
  • French solid wood PEFC eco-certified
  • Wood protection: Rubio Oil + 2C Smoke 5% (other finishes or wood types available on request)
  • Optional metal shelf: dimensions 50 x 37 cm or 75.5 x 52 cm depending on desk size, height 8 cm
  • Optional cable management system
  • Delivered assembled

The final sanding and application of a natural oil is done by hand by our cabinet-makers to ensure an impeccable finish and feel. This natural process preserves all the beauty of natural oak. The wood remains free of harmful substances and retains all its excellent properties.
The oak used for crafting the Couscous desk comes from forests located within 15 km of our workshop in Saulnot (70). The wood, like our workshop, is PEFC-certified (Pan European Forest Certification), ensuring its origin from sustainably managed forests. Our supplies undergo regular inspections by an independent organization.

Through our eco-design approach, we ensure to minimize the product's impact on the environment:

- Raw Materials: Our cabinetmakers work exclusively with PEFC-certified solid wood.
- Usage: Natural wood can be sanded and restored, ensuring furniture with unparalleled longevity.
- Finish: The oil used is derived from plant-based materials (grown sustainably and sourced locally).
- Manufacturing: Wood scraps and waste from production are maximally recycled, and as a last resort, used as fuel for heating our workshop.
"We meticulously select the natural materials used in the manufacture of our furniture to guarantee :

- reduced indoor air pollution
- absence of hazardous substances.
- reduced VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.
- formaldehyde-free wood glue.
- wood finished with natural vegetable oils (toy standard EN 71-3 for children's safety).
Maintaining the oak furniture from the Couscous collection is simple and easy:

- Daily cleaning: Use a damp sponge or cloth.
- Occasional maintenance: Apply care oil with a cloth.
- For scratches: Sand and apply care oil.
