"Ostal, the wood and metal table The Ostal table combines wood and metal, embodying a balance between the two materials, between the skills of cabinet-making and design. The top, frame and legs are made from solid oak, carefully assembled to give this table great strength and a distinctive visual signature. The metal foot rail gives the design an industrial touch. Like all Delavelle® furniture, this wood and metal table is 100% made in France, in our workshops in Burgundy Franche-Comté. Ostal, the contemporary farm table Toulouse-based designer Pierre Dubourg has elegantly reinvented the spirit of the traditional farm tables still often found in inns, hence the name "Ostal", which means "inn" in Catalan. This wood and metal table has all the warmth and conviviality of the great farmhouse tables of yesteryear, as well as a clean, resolutely contemporary design. The metal footrest, both practical and attractive, adds an industrial touch to the design, while ensuring stability and comfort. This combination of materials, between authentic conviviality and sleek modernity, gives this table a timeless design that suits all styles of interior, whether contemporary or traditional. An oak and metal table made in France This table is made entirely from top-quality solid French oak, except of course for the metal footrest crosspiece, which is made from tubular steel. The entire assembly is made in France, in our own workshops in Haute-Saône. The solid oak top is generously thick, offering endless strength and durability, while the contoured edges give it style, ergonomics and an appearance of lightness. The turned solid oak legs are slightly angled to give this table stability and a reassuring appearance. The whole table has been designed using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, such as the unique mortise and tenon joint that joins the base rail to the legs. The metal crosspiece is assembled by cutting a precise notch in the wood, subtracting the round shape of the tube from the base crosspiece - an assembly detail that reflects the design and manufacture of this table: meticulous, unusual and discreet. A customisable table for every space 1 table, 5 configurations for 4, 6, 8 or 10 people This wood and metal table is available with 2 frame sizes and 4 top sizes, offering 5 standard configurations for 4 to 10 place settings: - 120 x 80 cm table: The small table for small spaces, seating 4 people. - 140 x 80 cm table: For smaller spaces, this table seats 4 comfortably. - 180 x 85 cm table with 120 cm base: This configuration seats 6 people: 4 place settings on the long sides and 2 place settings at the ends. If you squeeze in a little, you can seat 8. - 180 x 85 cm table with 180 cm base: This configuration seats 6 people: 3 place settings on each of the 2 long sides. - 240 cm x 90 cm table with 180 cm base: This large table is ideal for 8 people but can easily seat up to 10: 8 place settings on the long sides and 2 place settings at either end. Metal foot rail in the colour of your choice - gun barrel black: this is our standard finish (see photos above), with a hand-applied black patina protected by a special steel rustproofing oil and wax. The patina offers unparalleled variations in vibrant shades, and is suitable for private use, but it is a more fragile finish than lacquers, and we do not recommend it for intensive use (bars, restaurants, etc.) or salty environments (coastline) where there is a risk of oxidation. - black RAL 9005: a lacquer polymerised in an oven at 200° for outstanding resistance, this finish is suitable for all uses, even the most intensive, and is perfectly suited to a restaurant, inn, gîte or other "contract" establishment. The extra cost is €42 per unit, but is degressive depending on quantity. Don't hesitate to ask us for a quote for your professional projects. - white RAL 9003: lacquer polymerised in an oven at 200° for unrivalled resistance, this finish is suitable for all uses, even the most intensive, and is perfectly suited to a restaurant, inn, gîte or other "contract" establishment. The extra cost is €42 per unit, but is degressive according to quantity. Don't hesitate to ask us for a quote for your professional projects. - Choice of colour: lacquer polymerised in an oven at 200° for outstanding resistance. Can't find the size you need in the list above? No problem! Tell us the dimensions you need and we'll send you a quote. We can make your bespoke table top from 75 cm to 120 cm wide and from 120 cm to 260 cm long, keeping the standard legs to limit the impact on the price. If you require other dimensions, there are virtually no limits. Our design office and cabinet makers will study your request for a made-to-measure table. We can also make this table from other local woods such as beech, ash, walnut, hornbeam, alder, maple, etc., but also from recycled materials or a stone top! Don't hesitate to contact us. Like all our furniture, Ostal is delivered assembled but can be dismantled to meet ecological and logistical challenges. As a general rule, all our furniture is delivered assembled, because we give priority to quality - that's the culture of cabinetmaking, which is far removed from the economic concerns of kit furniture manufacturers. The Ostal table is also delivered fully assembled, but can still be dismantled. This means it can be stored and transported as efficiently as possible, and any damaged components can be replaced or repaired. If your flat is difficult to access, whether by corridor or narrow staircase, don't hesitate to let us know when you place your order, so that we can send your table dismantled. A simple spanner is all you need to assemble the table, but it's advisable to have 2 people and be in good physical condition, because carrying a solid oak top up a flight of stairs is no picnic! If you wish, we can arrange for our delivery service to assemble the table at your home. In this case, please contact us for a quote, the cost of which will depend on your location and access arrangements. Ostal is a table perfectly suited to the contract market, campsites, inns, gîtes and other furnished tourist accommodation. Flat-pack delivery is an ideal solution, offering savings and optimised logistics for the large quantities of furniture that these markets sometimes require.
