The solid oak console has been carefully hand-finished by our cabinet-makers. The wood was finely sanded before being oiled with Rubio® natural oil, which contains no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). This natural, environmentally-friendly finish protects and enhances the wood, while giving it a silky, ultra-soft feel.
The wood we use to make the console comes from sustainably managed forests located less than 15 km from our workshop in Saulnot (70). The oak we use to make our furniture has been PEFC-certified since 2012: this certification respects the balance of the forest by considering environmental and social aspects. Our company and our supplies are audited every year by an independent organization to verify compliance with the certification standards:
License no.: PEFC/10-32-2633
Chain of custody no.: QUAL/12-716
Eco-responsible: protecting the environment is a preventive approach that minimizes the product's impact on the planet. Our company manufactures all our furniture from A to Z in our Franche-Comté workshop:
- Raw materials: our cabinet-makers work exclusively with local PEFC-certified wood.
- Manufacturing: our craftsmen avoid making wood scraps, and if they do, we try to reuse them to make other objects. For example, the salad servers available in "Accessories".
- Transport: The team tries to group orders so as to make a single delivery. Our furniture can also be picked up in our workshop.
- Use: 100% Made in France and eco-designed with solid wood from Burgundy-Franche-Comté, this guarantees you furniture with unrivalled longevity and manufacturing quality.
- The finish of our Made in France furniture is refined with Rubio® natural vegetable oils (meets EN 71-3 toy standard for children's safety).
- End of furniture/recycling: The advantage of solid wood is that, once worn, you can sand off the damaged part. If the damage is more serious, don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
"The cabinetmaking workshop takes care to select natural materials, such as solid oak, to be non-polluting for the ambient air:
To finish the furniture, our craftsmen only use Rubio® natural vegetable oils, which comply with the EN 71-3 toy standard for children's safety, thereby reducing VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.
For traditional furniture assembly, only formaldehyde-free wood glue is used, which ensures impeccable air quality and is good for the environment".
Solid oak is easy to maintain:
- Routine maintenance:
Simply clean with a damp sponge or cloth, you can also use Rubio ® interior soap.
- Occasional maintenance:
Heavily used surfaces can tarnish over time, use Rubio ® Refresh Eco Care Oil to restore silkiness to the surface and revive the oil's protection.
If a greasy substance has remained in contact with your furniture, a stain has certainly appeared. Use Rubio ® Cleaner Degreaser Spray.
