Solid Oak Coffee Table: Warm and Elegant

Handcrafted by our cabinetmakers in Franche-Comté, the Couscous coffee table is the latest creation from this collection born from a collaboration with artist designer Bina Baitel.

Eco-designed with local solid wood certified PEFC and French wood, this coffee table is the meeting of our artisanal cabinetmaking expertise and Bina Baitel's contemporary view on design. The friendly shapes and the warm appearance of solid wood give it welcoming and authentic traits, much like a traditional couscous dish shared in conviviality.

Description of the Couscous Coffee Table in Oak:

• two available sizes: Oblong 110 x 60 cm and Round with 3 feet, diameter 60 cm
• Height adjustable from 30 to 45 cm
• also available custom-made upon request
• solid oak top, 35 mm thickness
• solid oak legs, section 115 x 70 mm
• formaldehyde-free wood glue (no harmful agents)
• French wood certified PEFC
• finish: Rubio Oil Plus 2C (0% VOC) (varnish available on request)
• delivered assembled, packed, and protected
• designer: Bina Baitel 2022
• handcrafted in France: Atelier Hugo Delavelle 100%

The solid oak of this Couscous coffee table is carefully sanded and hand-oiled with Rudio Oil Plus 2C oil, which protects and enhances the wood. The top is protected by an additional coat of Rubio® metallising oil, offering high protection against stains and easy maintenance.
The oil used meets the EN 71-3 toy standard for children's safety.
The oak used to make this coffee table comes from sustainably managed forests located less than 15 km from our workshop. These forests and our workshop are PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification) certified.
This guarantees the traceability of the wood used and its sustainable exploitation. Our supplies are regularly checked by an independent organisation.

Like all our furniture, this Bistronome coffee table is eco-designed to minimise its impact on the environment.
The wood used is ultra-local (15 km maximum from the workshop) it's a natural, renewable, repairable and recyclable material.
The table can be dismantled for flat-pack delivery, reducing the carbon impact of delivery.

All our furniture is made from selected natural materials:

- reduced indoor air pollution
- absence of hazardous substances.
- reduced VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions.
- formaldehyde-free wood glue.
- wood finish with Rudio Oil Plus 2C oils (0% VOCs)
- Gold label oil for indoor air quality.
"The maintenance of this coffee table is very simple and easy :

- daily cleaning: with a damp sponge or cloth.
- Occasional care of the wood as required: apply care oil with a cloth.
- If there are scratches on the wood: sand and apply care oil with a cloth.
