Like all Delavelle furniture, our Solid Oak Benches are made in France by our artisans, cabinetmakers, chairmakers, and upholsterers, in our workshop in Saulnot, in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. The wood is selected from sustainably managed forests, ecocertified PEFC and located less than 15 km from our workshop. The minimalist and refined design is driven by a strong desire to create an eco-friendly bench with a minimal environmental impact.
All our Solid Oak Benches are created with an eco-design approach, meaning the designer focuses on eco-conception and reducing environmental impact as the core of the creative process. From the design to the end of life of our benches, including the choice of ecological materials and every manufacturing stage, everything is done to create an eco-friendly and durable bench.
Our benches are artisanally made in small series and/or individually in our workshop, and this scale of production offers great flexibility and a wide range of customisation options. On the website, you can choose from a selection of lengths, wood types, and cushion fabric colors for the seat and backrest cushions, but feel free to contact us if you want a custom bench length, a different wood type, or a different fabric color: all these design elements are easily customizable. If you desire a bench with an exclusive design, specially developed and made for your interior design project, that’s also possible, though the cost may be higher if your project doesn’t involve a large quantity of benches. This is generally a service we reserve for professional clients, architects, or space designers for whom we provide the design and manufacturing of church benches, refectory benches, station benches, corporate lounge furniture, or any other professional interior design project.
