Like all our furniture, each Delavelle chair is made in France in our workshop in Saulnot (70) by our cabinetmakers, chairmakers, and upholsterers. We select eco-certified PEFC wood from communal forests located within a 15 km radius of our workshop. Since 2009, the design and manufacturing quality of our chairs have been extensively tested in the kitchens and dining rooms of many private clients, as well as professionals in the restaurant design sector. All our chairs are eco-designed from the design phase, and they are crafted with care to provide you with a stylish wooden chair, durable, eco-responsible, and 100% made in France.
All our chairs are eco-designed and made in France in our workshop by our chairmakers and upholsterers. From the design to the end of life of our chairs, through all the stages of manufacturing, everything is thought out to create an eco-responsible, customisable and durable chair.
The eco-design is at the heart of the creation of all our chairs, combining design and eco-conception from the creation phase, resulting in a chair with a minimised environmental impact. The wood we use is eco-certified PEFC and comes from locally managed sustainable forests, selected within a 15 km radius of the workshop, sawn on site, and naturally air-dried as much as possible. It is a material of great quality, natural, renewable, durable, repairable, and recyclable. The fabrics and natural wool wadding used for our cushions are also selected for their environmental impact qualities. The expertise of our craftsmen, the selected materials, and the traditional joinery techniques we use guarantee a durable chair. This durability is enhanced by the repairability of all our chairs, for which we ensure repairs and the supply of spare parts without any time limit.
Our chairs are handcrafted in small batches in our chair-making workshop, and this scale of production offers great flexibility and a wide range of customisation options. On the website, you will find a selection of wood types and fabric colours for the seat and back cushions, but please feel free to consult us if you would like a different wood type or fabric colour, which are easily customisable. If you would like a made-to-measure chair or a custom chair, this is also possible, but the cost may be higher if your project does not involve a large quantity of chairs. This service is typically reserved for professional installations for which we provide design and/or manufacturing of restaurant chairs, bar chairs, office chairs, or any other contract furniture project for the hospitality and catering sector.
