The seat cushions for the Aix collection, comfortable and replaceable:

As a French specialist in eco-responsible solid wood furniture, all our furniture is designed to be durable, which is why the cushions for chairs, armchairs, and benches in the Aix collection have been designed to be easily removable and replaceable.

The back cushion is simply clipped in place, while the seat cushion is secured with four screws accessible directly from underneath the seat, allowing our customers to replace them without difficulty and thus give new life to their Aix furniture.

The cushions for chairs, armchairs, and benches in the Aix collection are upholstered with two types of fabrics: Drap de Bonneval from the Arpin spinning mill (73), fabrics entirely spun and woven with wool from the French Alps, and CURA Draps from the Gabriel spinning mill, a fabric made of 98% recycled polyester, manufactured in Europe, and Eco-label certified, guaranteeing reduced environmental impact and health risks by minimizing the negative effects of its production and consumption. Additionally, this fabric is fire retardant and meets the EN1021-1 & 2 standard.

These two types of fabrics are used to handcraft the cushions in our upholstery workshop located at the Delavelle premises in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Did you know? The different colors of our Arpin® fabric cushions are 100% natural and obtained by selecting wool from one or more species of sheep.

We commit to keeping these cushions available for a minimum of 20 years following the purchase of an Aix chair and offer them for exchange, meaning we ask our customers to return their old cushions in exchange for new ones to minimize environmental impact and ensure a longer product lifecycle.
